| On Friday learners completed their first performance assessment to represent all of the "make ten" combinations by painting colorful dots on ten frames. This project was inspired by the artwork of Japanese artist, Yayoi Kusama. Learners studied Kusama's dot paintings and exciting art installations in addition to reading a biography on the artist. Below is a video we watched about one of Kusama's famous art installations titled, "The Obliteration Room". After watching the video, students discussed how the mood of the setting changed as the room transformed from an empty white space into a colorful space. |
