Tiva shared an "All About Me" collage she created over the summer.
Tiva was also inspired by our classroom artist, Henri Matisse, and made a colorful collage at home.

Each morning we have morning meeting. One of our morning meeting rituals is for students to share something they created with the class. For sharing last week we had two performances. First, a short accordion song by Caleb and second, a rap written and read by Lavert. Thanks for sharing Lavert and Caleb, and thanks to the class for being an awesome audience!
I am thrilled to announce we have been invited to exhibit the Indonesia Water Cycle Project at Longue Vue Gardens on the evening of Thursday, September 24th. I will send a letter home with my students from last year with more information soon! Parents, you can find the event information here. Congratulations to the 2nd grade class of 2015 for such an outstanding accomplishment. I am looking forward to seeing students and parents at the opening on September 24th. Below are some pictures from Indonesia, the water filtration facility project is complete. Student artwork was printed onto the blue panels that decorate the structure.
